La puntata prende avvio dalle valli occitane d’Italia, scavalca le Alpi incontrando suoni ibridi, tra tradizione del ballo, jazz, flamenco e incroci afro-colombiani, e si rivolge poi decisamente verso il Nord boreale e artico, attraversando Finlandia, Danimarca, Norvegia, Sápmi, Fær Øer, Islanda e Groenlandia. Scendendo lungo la rotta atlantica, fa tappa in Irlanda e Inghilterra. Infine, si concentra su sonorità che mettono in relazione Stati Uniti, Germania, Messico, Ghana e Irlanda, e su un progetto che fa dialogare il mondo classico con la tradizione orale, tra Salento e Burkina Faso.
